Becky Way has been painting in pastel since 1978. She is currently represented by Adelante Gallery, Ashland, Oregon; and Paseo Artworks, Oklahoma City. Way draws inspiration for her more impressionistic landscapes (somewhere south of impressionistic, and north of true abstract) from the Oklahoma countryside. Objects found in her still lifes include favorite family antiques or borrowed objects. Most of her pastel paintings are painted with Ludwig Pastels on Wallis paper. She teaches painting and drawing workshops in Oklahoma, Colorado and Texas.
